Cocktail Dinner
We are pleased to announce a Cocktail Dinner to be held at our 7th Annual Best Practice Ecological Rehabilitation of Mined Lands Conference (2017).
Come along to our Conference social function and enjoy the fantastic networking opportunities. A cocktail style dinner will be held on Thursday 30th March (the day of the main conference) between 7pm and 9pm at Muswellbrook RSL, Bridge Street, Muswellbrook (same location as conference). Cocktail and finger foods will be served in the Main Auditorium. Secure your chance to engage with speakers and other conference attendees, and ask those questions you may not have had a chance to ask during the conference!
The guest speaker for the dinner is Prof Alan Broadfoot, Director of Newcastle Institute for Energy and Resources.

Formerly Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Ampcontrol, a leading international supplier of electrical and electronic products to the power, energy and mining sectors, Dr Broadfoot is currently the Director of the Newcastle Institute for Energy and Resources (NIER), a role held since 2010. Alan is also the Director of the NSW Energy and Resources Knowledge Hub.
As part of the University of Newcastle, NIER is a multidisciplinary model for transformational research in energy and resources, and addresses the rapidly emerging issues of resource sustainability, productivity and competitiveness associated with energy and resources infrastructure. It is a major initiative bringing together the University's leading energy and resources researchers into purpose built, state-of-the-art facilities unrivalled by any other education and research centre in Australia in scale and quality.
